The year is 2345, an era where AI’s have become super intelligent, creating what is known as MAI’s (Mega Artificial Intelligence). Humans are now ruled by the MAI’s. The universe is divided between 8 MAI, who in turn run 4 MEGA Corps, in which the majority of mankind is employed (some people have entirely left earth to start outer world colonies away from MAI’s). The MEGA Corps are known as The Accord, and consists of the following corporations:

-The DSM (Deep Space Mining) corp controlling space mining.
-The J&M (Johnson & Merck) corp controlling Biotech.
-The OmniCorp controlling general goods and deliveries
-The MetaCorp controlling the meta-verse

The Xerg-N47 planetary system is a crucial mining area for DSM, as the planets orbiting the giant star have developed Zenonite. Zenonite is a key fuel ingredient in hyper space travel, thus one of the most valuable fuel assets to control in the known universe. However, due to the intense levels of gravity, debris, and radiation, Xerg-N47 is a dangerous place to operate mining. In addition to the dangerous environment there are frequent human rebel space miners trying to take over areas Xerg-N47 to set up small rebel mining areas, to get their hands on the valuable Zenonite.
